Dear friends,
Jeffrey Anderson, MD, MPH, MBA
On behalf of the HealthVine leadership team, I am excited to share Cincinnati Children’s second HealthVine Annual Report. This document details milestones we have reached during our second year operating as a pediatric accountable care organization (ACO), serving children and youth enrolled in Medicaid through CareSource® and Aetna Better Health® in Southwest Ohio.
HealthVine’s second 18 months of operation have been defined by growth and expansion. Our care management and utilization management programs continue to achieve and maintain operational excellence while working collaboratively with other HealthVine programs to pursue innovation in various population health initiatives—all to improve the health and well-being of children and families in the region.
In partnership with CareSource, Aetna, and Cincinnati Children’s, the milestones that HealthVine achieved in the second 18 months of operation include:
- Receiving accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for our care management and utilization management programs.
- Successfully launching the HealthVine OhioRISE program on July 1, 2022, to provide comprehensive care coordination for youth with complex behavioral health needs.
- Developing and implementing a financial incentive program for HealthVine primary care and behavioral health partners.
- Expanding Cincinnati Children’s population health initiatives to launch the Office of Population Health.
We are proud of how far we have come over the past three years. This report offers stories and population health data that illustrate the impressive impact we have had so far on members in our region, our great state and around the country.
We greatly appreciate each of our partners. Your collaboration has allowed us to continue serving the increasing and ever-changing needs of our members. We look forward to an ongoing relationship with you as we tackle the critical work still ahead of us. But now, please join us as we take a moment to celebrate the many milestones we have already reached.
Sincerely, Jeffrey Anderson, MD, MPH, MBA
