Tri-State Child Health Services, a physician-hospital organization (PHO), serves children throughout the Tri-State region through collaboration between community-based physicians, hospital-based physicians and Cincinnati Children's. The strategic goals for Tri-State Child Health Services are listed below.
Key Highlights
Tri-State Child Health Services has been focused on data, engagement, and clinical accomplishments. This year, the PHO:
- Became fully staffed for the first time since the redesign of the program
- Added Dayton-area practices and staff members

Strategic Plan Delivery Achievements
- Concentrated on data processes to enhance panel submission and equity measures
- Added technology to simplify information gathering and reporting
- Revised operational definitions for cohort segmentation and outcome measures
- Retooled code infrastructure for condition cohorts and monitoring measures
- Developed educational onboarding series and marketing materials
- Obtained board approval for 5 treatment protocols (anxiety, asthma, constipation, depression, primary recurrent headache), and created continuing education and resource packets for each

Looking Forward
In 2025, the PHO is focusing on:
- Onboarding new practices and locations
- Distributing continuing medical education to network primary care providers
- Determining working group structure and beginning protocol and outcome measure development for specialties (dental, obesity, otolaryngology, perioperative)
- Developing new working groups and cohorts of focus
- Working towards completion of American Board of Pediatrics Maintenance of Certifications
