Colleagues and Friends,

Barb Tofani, MSN, RN, NEA-BC

Senior Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer

What a tremendous 2025! We made significant strides in advancing our most important goals and achieved meaningful milestones across the Patient Services Division.

Thanks to the ingenuity, compassion and expertise of our teams across every site of care, we continued to reshape how we deliver care and support the children and families who rely on us. Together, we made care more accessible, more connected, and more responsive—while supporting our teammates along the way. Our shared commitment to patients, families and our workforce is reflected in these accomplishments:

  • Opened a state-of-the-art Access Hub, optimizing system access, capacity and patient flow across every site of care throughout the health system—coordinated from one central space.
  • Expanded care in the communities we serve through the continued management of school-based health centers, sensory-friendly clinic hours and an extended after-hours care hotline for families.
  • Earned prestigious, nationally recognized care awards, reflecting outstanding care delivered both within our facilities and throughout our communities.
  • Advanced evidence-based practice initiatives through interdisciplinary collaboration to improve quality, safety, affordability and patient outcomes.

Each of these achievements reflects our collective commitment to reimagining what’s possible in our relentless pursuit of excellence—for our patients, their families, our colleagues and our broader community.

As you review the accomplishments in this report and explore the stories behind them, I hope you will be as inspired as I am by our remarkable people and all that we have achieved together as the leader in improving child health.

Sincerely, Barb Tofani, MSN, RN, NEA-BC Senior Vice President of Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer
