On the Horizon
Continuously Looking Forward
As HealthVine enters its third year of operation, the organization plans to expand opportunities to support youth in the Southwest Ohio region and continue optimizing program operations. Key objectives and initiatives for the year ahead are outlined below.
- Expand delegated agreements with new payors: In 2024, HealthVine plans to partner with additional Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to support Care Management and Utilization Management program functions for additional populations in the Southwest Ohio region.
- Continue our pursuit of operational excellence: The HealthVine Care Management and Utilization Management programs will apply for NCQA re-accreditation to maintain the highest standards of operational excellence. In early 2024, the Utilization Management program plans to launch Epic Tapestry, a new system that will expedite the intake and review of prior authorization requests for members in need of services.
- Reinvigorate behavioral health attribution efforts: 2024 will bring additional opportunities to expand HealthVine’s novel behavioral health attribution efforts, an initiative started in 2021 to help increase information transparency between physical and behavioral health providers and better track where members receive behavioral healthcare services in the community.
- Deepen existing partnerships and develop new relationships with community partners: Community providers, health systems and community organizations will always be critical in improving the health of youth in Southwest Ohio. HealthVine will deepen existing community partnerships and develop new ones to parallel the expansion of new payor contracts in 2024.
- Amplify Cincinnati Children's Office of Population Health initiatives As population health efforts continue to develop and expand, the Cincinnati Children’s Office of Population Health will create and share more initiatives.
