Growth and Innovation
Expanding Partnerships
New Payors Added
We welcomed AmeriHealth, Anthem and Humana as HealthVine payors, increasing our member population by approximately 28,000 lives. This brings our total membership to more than 127,000. Looking ahead, we aim to expand payor contracts and extend coverage further in 2025.
Enhancing Technology
Epic Tapestry Integration
Our Utilization Management team has successfully transitioned to managing all prior authorizations for HealthVine members through Epic Tapestry. This new, integrated system within Epic simplifies and streamlines the prior authorization process, improving efficiency for providers and patients.
Online Referral Form Launch
To increase access to HealthVine resources, we introduced our first-ever online referral form. In its inaugural year, the form received over 200 referrals, proving its impact in connecting members to the care and support they need.
Improving Care Systems
Telehealth Distribution
During 2024, HealthVine distributed and trained families on TytoCare and CincyKids Health Connect - a device and website that enable families to have virtual telehealth appointments. The usage of these devices have led to an estimated:
- $142,884 cost savings (based on avoided emergency department/urgent care visit costs minus virtual visit expenses)
- 162 avoided Emergency Department visits
- 972 avoided Urgent Care visits
- 48 avoided In-Person visits
Behavioral Health Access
In partnership with local behavioral health organizations, HealthVine OhioRISE leveraged data insights to expand Mobile Response and Stabilization Services (MRSS), Intensive Home-Based Treatment (IHBT), and Respite services in underserved areas, improving access to critical behavioral health resources.
